Established in 2018 under the aegis of the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE), Haldia Institute of Pharmacy (HIP) is affiliated with The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). The institute offers undergraduate and diploma programs in pharmacy, recognized for its quality education and modern facilities.

College Facilities & Infrastructure:

• Campus: The HIP campus is Wi-Fi enabled and maintains a plastic-free, green environment.

• Classrooms: Spacious and well-maintained classrooms equipped with modern amenities.

• Laboratories: The institute houses 14 well-equipped laboratories, including specialized labs for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Microbiology, and a Central Instrumentation Room. These labs feature advanced equipment such as UV Spectrophotometer, HPLC, HPTLC, dissolution and disintegration test apparatus, automatic tablet punching machine, CHN analyzer, and lyophilizer.

• Library: The central library boasts a collection of 4,289 books and 8 journals, along with access to a wide range of e-books and e-journals.

• Auditorium: A fully air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 500, suitable for seminars, conferences, and video conferences.

• Hostel Facilities: Separate hostels for boys and girls are available, accommodating 200 and 100 students respectively. The hostels provide a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment with dedicated dining areas.

• Sports and Recreation: The institute emphasizes extracurricular activities, offering facilities for indoor games like carrom, chess, and table tennis, as well as outdoor sports including cricket, football, basketball, and volleyball.
